About
Built by sauna people,
on purpose.
Sauna Management started life as the internal booking system for Northern Ritual, a wood-fired sauna in a Yorkshire valley. We spent six months trying other platforms: calendar bolts, gym scheduling tools, generic appointment apps. None of them understood that a sauna session isn't an appointment, it's a ritual.
Sessions sell as a group of six. Private hire is its own product. Customers come back monthly, then weekly. The owner needs to know who walked through the door eight Saturdays ago and didn't come back. None of that fit the standard tools.
So we built our own. After a year of running on it, three other saunas asked if they could use it too. That's when this became a company.
We're a small team in Yorkshire. We still run a sauna. The roadmap is written from behind the bench, not at a conference.
Principles
How we work.
The owner is the user.
Every feature has to be usable by someone who has steam in their hair and a customer waiting. If it needs a manual, it's too complex.
Money belongs to the customer.
We don't take a cut of bookings. We don't hold funds. Payments go straight from card to your Stripe account. You pay us a flat monthly fee.
Data belongs to the customer.
One-click CSV export of everything. If you cancel, you keep the data. No lock-in.
Slow software.
We ship slowly and we ship things we want to use. Most months we ship two or three changes. Once a quarter we ship something big.
